What changes with a VPN
For traffic that goes through the VPN, the destination generally sees a VPN-server IP instead of your original public IP. This changes the network path, not the identity attached to your logged-in accounts.

Cookies, account logins and browser signals can continue to associate activity with you. Review app permissions and tracking settings, and use secure HTTPS connections.
